Summary | Objective
The Maintenance Technician performs intermediate-level equipment, facility, and grounds maintenance activities with increased independence and technical proficiency. This role applies working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment with minimal supervision. The technician is responsible for independently completing preventive maintenance, supporting corrective maintenance, assisting with equipment troubleshooting, and providing guidance to Maintenance Technician employees, while continuing to expand technical capabilities and contribute to reliability and continuous improvement efforts.

Key Responsibilities | TASKS YOU DO TO ACHIEVE THE ACCOUNTABILTIES
- Follow safety guidelines and participate in housekeeping and continuous improvement activities such as 5S
- Follow lockout/tagout and energy control procedures and ensure compliance during maintenance activities
- Perform routine/intermediate-level equipment, facility, and safety inspections with accurate documentation
- Independently perform PM tasks, including component replacement, adjustments, and functional checks
- Perform cleaning, lubrication, inspection, and adjustment tasks, correcting issues within skill level
- Enter completed work orders and maintenance activities into the maintenance management system
- Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic repairs with limited supervision
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and assist with root cause identification to prevent recurrence
- Identify abnormal equipment conditions and coordinate appropriate corrective actions
- Use hand tools, power tools, diagnostic meters, and testing equipment safely and effectively
- Support emergency and unscheduled maintenance activities and respond to equipment breakdowns
- Read, interpret, and apply equipment manuals, diagrams, schematics, and work instructions
- Deliver clear technical updates and repair summaries, tailoring communication to the appropriate audience
- Properly issue, return, label, and store maintenance parts, tools, and materials and document usage
- Accurately document parts usage, shortages, or discrepancies in the maintenance management system
- Assist in training and providing guidance to Maintenance Technician team members
- Develop increasing familiarity with specialized equipment and facility systems
- Maintain professionalism and work collaboratively with team members, vendors, and other departments
- Perform other related duties as assigned based on business needs
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance tools, carts, parts storage, and work areas

- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or have a current Green Card
- 2–4 years of maintenance experience or equivalent technical training
- Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues with minimal supervision
- Basic understanding of PLCs, sensors, and automated systems preferred
- Proficient computer skills for CMMS, email, and documentation
- Ability to balance workload effectively and maintain organization
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, schematics, and procedures
- Ability to work collaboratively, communicate professionally, and support peers
- Dependable, punctual, and flexible with work hours and overtime as needed
- Motivated self-starter capable of working independently on assigned tasks
Physical Requirements
- Lift up to 50 lbs on a continuous basis and up to 70 lbs periodically
- Ability to use hand tools requiring using fine dexterity and precision
- Stand, sit or walk for 8 to 10 hours as business requires
- Stooping, bending, and walking with up to 50 lbs throughout workday
- Ability to withstand odors and high decibel sounds
- Able to walk, stand, climb, sit, kneel, stoop, bend, drive
- Able to climb a ladder up to a 20’ elevation
- Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs on a frequent basis, including lifting at shoulder level or above

Work Environment
This position is based on the production floor and involves working near moving mechanical parts, electrical systems, and industrial chemicals. Exposure to noise, heat, fumes, electrical shock hazards, and airborne particles may occur. Required personal protective equipment must be worn at all times as designated.

Must be available to work Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 3:30pm and overtime as business requires. This position also includes the responsibility of being on a rotating on-call schedule. This position will remain open until filled.
