The Non-Sterile Compounding Technician is responsible for preparing customized, non-sterile pharmaceutical
products, including creams, ointments, capsules, oral liquids, and powders. The technician ensures accuracy,
consistency, and compliance with all regulatory and quality standards while supporting pharmacists in a
compounding environment.
This role requires attention to detail, adherence to SOPs, and a strong focus on
patient safety.
* Must be fluent in English, including reading, writing, and speaking.
* Must have a good performance standing.
Schedule: Monday – Friday 2:00pm-10:00pm; AM Shift 6 am to 2 pm; (3 candidates for PM shift); (1 candidate for AM shift)
DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES:
* Accurately compound non-sterile medications according to prescriptions, master formulations,
and batch records.
*Follow USP <795> guidelines and state pharmacy regulations for non-sterile compounding.
* Measure, weigh, and mix ingredients using appropriate equipment and techniques.
*Prepare and maintain labels, packaging, and documentation for compounded products.
* Inspect raw materials and finished products for quality, consistency, and expiration dates.
* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe compounding workspace.
* Assist pharmacists in inventory management of non-sterile materials.
* Report any deviations, errors, or equipment malfunctions promptly.
*Comply with all regulatory, safety, and quality requirements.
SKILLS & ABILITIES:

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
* High school diploma or equivalent;
*Current Florida Pharmacy Technician License(certification as a Pharmacy Technician
(CPhT) preferred)
*Prior experience in non-sterile compounding preferred.
*Knowledge of USP <795>, USP <800>, pharmaceutical calculation, and compounding
techniques.
* Ability to work in a controlled environment while wearing personal protective equipment
(PPE).
* Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and organizational skills.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
* Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
* Capability to lift and move supplies and equipment as needed.
*Comfortable working in controlled cleanroom environments with PPE.
