Position Information: The part-time Parts Route Sales Representative is responsible for making daily sale contacts, promoting programs to customers, and providing excellent customer service. S/he will also monitor the market and relay feedback to wholesale team to remain competitive.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Greet every customer, every day
- Maintain high ethical standards when dealing with customers, co-workers and?vendors
- Put safety first. Adhere to all Safety Policies, Procedures and Personal Protective Equipment standards
- Visit assigned accounts and fill requests for product
- Assist customer on staging areas/stocking orders
- Monitor customer returns and inform Wholesale team of issues that may be upcoming
- Suggest value added items to customers
- Observe customer stocking of competitor items during visits and report opportunity to wholesale team
- Report new customers in market to Wholesale team for sales opportunities
- Observe customer shop flow and potential room for improvement
- Report to wholesale team on new competition in assigned account
- Relay feedback from customers on our performance to wholesale team
- Recap visits after call is made, highlighting keynotes
- Return customer credit sheets for processed returns
- Monitor customer returns area for changes in competition and processing
- Maintain consistent learning on parts knowledge to provide excellent customer experience
- Attend personnel/business development opportunities
- Attend all required meetings as directed
- Fill in on parts or service parts counters as needed and required.
- Maintain a safe and clean workspace, as well as ensuring the entire facility is orderly, clean and free of hazards
Qualifications: Valid driver’s license and good driving record. Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information. High school diploma or the equivalent. Previous automotive parts experience preferred.
Working Conditions: The Parts Route Sales Representative will work and move about the Parts department in a warehouse-type environment as well as drive company vehicles to customer locations. S/he will be exposed to noise, dust, exhaust fumes, and other hazardous and nonhazardous materials. S/he must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
