Are you passionate about working with school-age children and creating fun, enriching experiences before and after school—and all summer long? Join our energetic team as a School-Age Program Educator, where you’ll help children learn, play, and thrive in a supportive and dynamic environment. In this position, you'll help create a safe, engaging environment where children can explore their interests, build friendships, develop new skills, and enjoy meaningful experiences before and after school, on school breaks, and throughout the summer.


What You’ll Do:
As a School-Age Educator, you’ll lead before and after school programming during the school year and shift into full-day summer camp mode when school’s out! You'll design and deliver creative, age-appropriate activities that support each child’s development—while making every day feel like an adventure.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and lead fun, age-appropriate activities for school-age children.
  • Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment.
  • Maintain open communication with families and staff.
  • Supervise children actively and ensure their safety at all times.
  • Complete necessary reports and documentation.
  • Support and follow licensing and quality standards. 

This Role Is Perfect For Someone Who:

  • Loves working with school-aged children and thrives in an active, playful environment.
  • Is a strong communicator with a positive attitude and team-first mindset.
  • Can bend, kneel, sit on the floor, and lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.
  • Has (or is willing to obtain) all necessary clearances, NSOR, and health physical.

Program Includes:

  • Before & After School Care (during the school year)
  • Full-Day Summer Camp (June–August)

Expected Hours: 

  • 37.5-40 hours per week for 52 weeks per year. 
  • Monday through Friday, 9:30am-5:30pm.  

No nights or weekends!   

Requirements

 Early Educator I (Group Supervisor) - A bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education, or the human services field.

Early Educator I (Group Supervisor)- An unrelated bachelor’s degree, which includes 30 credit hours in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education, or the human services field and one-year experience with children. 


Early Educator II (Group Supervisor)- An associate degree in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field and two years’ experience with children.

Early Educator II (Group Supervisor)- An unrelated associate degree, which includes 30 credit hours in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field and three years experience with children.  

Salary Description
$18.58-$20.48 depending on education level
