JOB SUMMARY

The National Account Manager (NAM) is responsible for managing the customer/category day to day operations for their account base, while delivering “best in class” sales and profitability targets. This role will deliver results while maintaining the highest level of integrity. Execute commercial driven strategies for their customers that enable siffron to achieve best in class results. Utilize leading edge data, information systems, and metrics around financial, brand, and customer trends to maximize market share, sales, and profits through price optimization for siffron and our customers.

  

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Business Growth and Development

  • Lead category insight and strategic design for the Category Managers/ Buyers at these accounts.
  • Develop initiatives and strategies that will grow the retailer’s category and overall business by driving the leading sku’s siffron’s core listing.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities from within the existing siffron’s line that will achieve the "best practice" scenario and recommend additions.
  • Lead development of annual quotas and profit plan
  • Lead sales action plans; monitor actual results vs. plan throughout the year, making adjustments when appropriate.
  • Serve as primary contact and become the expert for assigned accounts. Understand the retailer’s needs, strategies, and objectives. 
  • Learn and utilize Category Management and Action Selling concepts in every account.
  • Build and deliver retailer specific presentations for Line Reviews, Programs, Mid-Season updates.
  • Maximize the availability of our products in the appropriate channels of distribution consistent with our brand strategy with an emphasis on superior new product execution.

Relationship Development and Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Build customer relationships at Buyer and VP levels within the customer set of responsibility and be seen as the leader in the industry for our product categories. Foster and facilitate connectivity in other functional areas including Marketing, Supply Chain, Communications and Operations both internally and at the customer level.
  • Work with store personnel and marketing to identify and evaluate new product ideas
  • Build and closely manage relationships with customers at the buyer level and beyond to create or enhance the partnership.
  • Build and maintain relationships with executives, management, field and inside sales teams across all partner locations.
  • Leverage CRM and reporting tools to manage and monitor pipeline, revenue growth, goal attainment, etc.
  • Proactively partner with internal teams to drive revenue results for the organization.

Other Essential Responsibilities

  • Effectively complete all administrative forms, programs, resets, or projects necessary.
  • Conduct Quarterly Business reviews with assigned partners.
  • Provide RFP support for technical response and BOM creation.
Requirements

EDUCATION, LICENSES, AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelors/University degree, preferred
  • 5+ years of sales, sales planning, sales distribution, and/or trade experience, a plus
  • Experience with a minimum $10M book of business, preferred
  • Demonstrated successful achievements with proactive revenue and growth targets
  • Successful relationship management within internal and external customers, including account and end user.
  • Ability to manage internal and external demand planning and inventory planning
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and foster change management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; must be able to present data in an organized manner
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and assignments simultaneously

SKILLS (Language, Mathematical, Reasoning, Other)

  • This role has complex requirements requiring excellent organization, time-management and documentation skills.
  • Solid analytical skills and acute attention to details
  • Strong project management skills
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and exceptional drive for results
  • Advanced skills using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • General office, travel (air/car/other), hotels, customer locations
  • Computer (lap top), copier, telephone, calculator, micrometer, tape measure, computer tablet, cell phone
  • 40% travel is a must.  

siffron Benefits:

The base salary range for this is $113,568 - $155,000 annually. siffron considers several factors when determining and extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
