General. Employees must….
- Understand the flow of work between Coater, Insert, and Steam, coupling Assembly, and Test Table, and move material into holding areas in accordance with this flow.
- Understand the production schedule.
- Know how to safely and properly handle (and lift) materials and jackets in all areas.
- Operate Machinery at an acceptable rate.
- Keep all areas, machines, and floors clean.
- Have the ability to demonstrate skills to less knowledgeable operators, as needed.
Coating Machine. Employees must….
- Properly mix coating material to spec.
- Tie jackets together to run through coating machine.
- Run all controls including start up and shut down.
- Properly stencil hose per spec.
- Roll hose, skid and properly identify.
- Measure flat width before and after coating. Adjust settings as necessary.
- Knowledge of spill containment and clean up procedures.
Insert Tables. Employees must…
- Operate snake at lower end of insert table.
- Insert jackets at upper end of insert table.
- Insert tubes at upper end of insert table.
- Properly stencil hose per spec. when required.
- Move Jackets over to the cure table.
Required Skills and Ability:
- Employee must be physically able to work in areas so as to not harm themselves or others, and must be able to safely use machinery and tools.
- Understand and verify quality through the use of gauges, tools, specs, and charts.
- Employee must understand how to fill out all paperwork for all areas.
- Must work well as a team.
- Employee must be able to communicate with the lead, quality tech, or supervisor any issues they may find that affects the performance of the area, or product.
- Skill level – entry level.
- Other activities as designated by supervisor.
Principal Activities Include:
Strength Requirements:
Medium
Up to 50lbs of force exerted occasionally, and up to 20lbs frequently, up to 10lbs constantly.
Work Environment:
Employee may be exposed to wet and humid conditions and Dust/Fumes/Gas and Chemicals. Employee may need to work around extreme heat and moving machinery.
Education/Training Requirement:
High School Diploma, or GED required.
