Tactical Rehabilitation is seeking a highly motivated Regional Patient Care Specialist (Regional PCS) to support multiple office locations within an assigned territory. This role is ideal for an experienced Patient Care Specialist who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys mentoring others, and is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care.


As a Regional PCS, you will serve as a subject matter expert supporting patient care operations, compliance initiatives, staff training, and office performance across multiple locations. You will play a critical role in ensuring operational consistency, maintaining quality standards, and supporting the delivery of outstanding service to our military service members, veterans, and their families.


Position Summary

The Regional Patient Care Specialist is responsible for providing operational support and patient care coverage across multiple Tactical Rehabilitation offices within an assigned region. This role ensures continuity of patient care services, supports office operations during staffing shortages, provides training and mentorship to team members, and assists leadership with process improvement initiatives.

The Regional PCS serves as a key contributor to operational excellence, compliance oversight, and patient satisfaction throughout the region.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Travel extensively throughout assigned territory to support office operations and patient care initiatives.
  • Provide office coverage during staffing shortages, leave periods, or increased patient demand.
  • Perform patient assessments, fittings, and equipment education in accordance with industry standards.
  • Conduct office inspections to ensure compliance, cleanliness, organization, and operational readiness.
  • Mentor and train Patient Care Specialists and support staff.
  • Assist with implementation of company initiatives and operational improvements.
  • Support Medical Solutions Managers and Office Managers in identifying growth opportunities.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and quality standards.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and patient record management.
  • Promote exceptional customer service and patient satisfaction.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Assist with authorization and referral discrepancy resolution.
  • Support shipping, tracking, and patient follow-up activities.
  • Assist with inventory management and medical supply distribution.
  • Participate in office audits and compliance reviews.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Maintain 100% compliance with industry and company standards.
  • Achieve documentation accuracy above 99%.
  • Support regional offices in meeting or exceeding operational KPIs.
  • Assist offices in achieving corporate conversion goals.
  • Identify and implement process improvements that enhance patient care and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

Required

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and travel extensively.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and standard office technology.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Preferred

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Certified Orthotic Fitter (COF) Certification.
  • Two or more years of experience in healthcare, patient care, sports medicine, rehabilitation, fitness, medical office operations, or related fields.
  • Knowledge of military culture and experience supporting active-duty service members, veterans, or military families.
  • Prior military service or military family affiliation.

Compensation


Salary Range: $50,000 – $80,000 annually (based on experience, qualifications, certifications, and geographic location)

  • COF: $86.67

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit, stand, bend, kneel, walk, and reach throughout the workday.
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds.
  • Ability to manipulate patient limbs for casting, measuring, and fitting procedures.
  • Visual and auditory acuity sufficient to perform patient care and documentation tasks.
  • Fine motor skills required for patient care, equipment handling, and administrative duties.

Work Environment


This position operates in multiple office locations and satellite environments and requires regular interaction with patients, providers, and healthcare professionals. Frequent travel throughout the assigned region is required.
