Description
We are looking for an ambitious candidate to join our Team as the Engineering/Operations Project Manager. You will get to work with outstanding leadership and field teams! Our Engineering/Operations Project Manager oversees multiple projects throughout the life of the project.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Our Engineering/Operations Project Manager assumes accountability for the development of all project details including assembling and managing multifunctional matrixed project teams across business platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, schedule, and execute all phases of projects in accordance with project management processes, policies, guidelines, and corporate governance.
- Establish, track, and control project cost, scope, schedule, and risk to deliver on targets.
- Develop detailed project plans and ensure project scopes, team responsibilities, milestone dates, and the procurement strategy are clearly stated for all assigned projects.
- Coordinate the development of conceptual and detailed designs.
- Develop and execute public involvement plan during the project permitting phase.
- Interface with external customers and department manager throughout the project life cycle.
- Provide project progress reports to management and other stakeholders in accordance with an approved communication plan.
- Manage the bid process and contracts for external engineering and construction services.
- Negotiate with vendors and contractors regarding work scope changes and ensure that all contract commitments are completed on time per the scope of work and technical specifications.
- Manage construction management team activities in conjunction with field operations.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management
- Three years related professional experience
- Project Management Professional certification preferred
- Working knowledge of SAP in cost tracking and forecasting preferred
- Working knowledge of Primavera scheduling or other project management software
- Experience in project scheduling, cost controls, tracking and reporting methodologies
- Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to analyze information, form conclusions, and provide meaningful solutions
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Demonstrated ability to motivate and influence others, building teams and conflict resolution
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds unassisted.
- Must be able to work beyond normal operating hours as determined by business demands.
- Must be able to travel throughout Company locations.
