The Folktale Group is looking for an On-Call Event Line Cook to support our weddings, winery events, and private celebrations. Join a talented culinary team and help create exceptional dining experiences at some of the Monterey Peninsula's most beautiful events.


This is a fantastic opportunity for cooks who enjoy variety, flexibility, and working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Requirements
  • Prepare and execute menu items according to recipes and chef specifications
  • Set up and stock workstations with all necessary ingredients and equipment
  • Maintain quality, consistency, and presentation standards during service
  • Work efficiently during high-volume event service
  • Assist with event setup, service, and breakdown
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and kitchen safety standards
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional workstation

What We're Looking For

  • Reliable and dependable team players
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Ability to remain calm and efficient in a fast-paced environment
  • Weekend and evening availability is required
  • Previous line cook, prep cook, banquet cook, or restaurant kitchen experience preferred
  • Ability to take direction and work as part of a team

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for up to 8+ hours
  • Frequent bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling
  • Lift up to 25 lbs regularly and 50 lbs occasionally


Salary Description
$30.00 / hour
