Truck Service Technician
Description


Summary: Assemble and install truck components per engineering and customer specifications.


Essential Function: Assemble and install PTOs, pumps, winches, cranes, truck beds, toolboxes, hydraulic systems, assemblies, lift gates, and any other customer-requested options onto trucks

  • Assist with requested maintenance or repair work
  • Complete truck and component wiring as needed
  • Test functionality of parts and systems after assembly, installation, or repair
  • Utilize business management system (BMS), as applicable
  • Assist with any other duties as assigned


Requirements

Basic Requirements:

Deisel mechanic experience a plus

Basic to intermediate knowledge of wiring, electrical and other hardware components

Basic to intermediate mechanical aptitude and ability  

Ability to read and understand simple operating and maintenance instructions

Knowledge of manual, electric, pneumatic, and other power or hand tools, including tape measure

Basic to math, computer, and communication skills

Ability to interpret specifications, diagrams, and/or blueprints

General manufacturing experience and knowledge of different materials

Physical Exposure:

Frequent standing, walking, kneeling, bending, crouching, and lifting

Frequent lifting and moving of up to 25 lbs

Occasional moving and lifting of up to 80 lbs with assistance

Oils/solvents on products and material

Frequent use of pneumatic/hand tools

Sharp edges on parts or materials

Fork truck traffic
