Lead Service Operations and Ensure Every Truck Leaves Ready for the Road 

We are seeking an experienced Truck Service & Quality Lead to oversee service operations for our custom truck equipment division. This role serves as the primary technical resource for truck-mounted systems including PTOs, hydraulic pumps, cranes, winches, liftgates, and other vocational truck equipment.

In addition to coordinating service activities and supporting technicians, this position performs final operational testing, inspections, and troubleshooting to ensure completed trucks meet customer expectations before delivery.

What You'll Do

Service Leadership

• Coordinate daily service, repair, warranty, and troubleshooting activities.
• Support and mentor service technicians and installers.
• Prioritize service requests and ensure timely completion of work.
• Work directly with customers, vendors, and internal teams to resolve technical issues.
• Assist in developing service procedures and best practices.

Technical Troubleshooting

• Diagnose and repair issues involving:
  • PTO systems
  • Hydraulic pumps and controls
  • Cranes and lifting equipment
  • Winches
  • Liftgates
  • Electrical and wiring systems
  • Truck-mounted equipment and accessories
• Identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
• Support assembly and production teams when technical challenges arise.

Final Inspection & Quality Assurance

• Conduct final inspections on completed truck builds.
• Verify proper installation and operation of PTOs, pumps, cranes, hydraulic systems, and customer-specified equipment.
• Perform operational testing and system validation before customer delivery.
• Ensure trucks meet company quality standards and customer requirements.
• Document inspection results, service activities, and corrective actions.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in truck equipment service, diesel repair, fleet maintenance, heavy equipment service, or related field.
• Experience troubleshooting PTO systems, hydraulic pumps, valves, cylinders, and controls.
• Knowledge of cranes, winches, liftgates, and truck-mounted equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, hydraulic schematics, blueprints,      and technical specifications.
• Experience performing inspections, diagnostics, and equipment testing.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Basic computer skills and service documentation experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Diesel mechanic experience.
• Leadership or service supervision experience.
• Vocational truck upfit experience.
• Hydraulic certification or advanced hydraulic troubleshooting experience.
• Experience supporting warranty and customer service activities.
• Strong computer proficiency with experience using ERP systems preferred.
• Experience with propane delivery or service equipment.
