G1 Facility Services is a leading facility maintenance and construction provider, proudly serving customers nationally. We provide facility and preventative maintenance services to aviation, government, and commercial facilities throughout the United States and the Caribbean. With over two decades of experience in the maintenance and construction industries, we are seeking to add a Journeyman Electrician to our dynamic team.


Compensation: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour (Based on Experience), medical, vision, dental, life insurance, 401k 


Available Shift: 7:30am – 4:00pm, Monday to Friday. Weekend availability is required


Job Summary:

The Journeyman Electrician is responsible for performing electrical installations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs in accordance with applicable codes and safety standards. This position will also provide guidance and support to junior electricians while ensuring projects are completed efficiently and safely.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform a variety of electrical trade functions in accordance with local and national electrical codes
  • Read, interpret, and understand electrical and mechanical blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics
  • Maintain and repair power distribution systems, fire detection and suppression systems, HVAC systems, variable frequency drives (VFDs), programmable logic controllers (PLCs), motor controllers, lighting systems, and related controls
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and install AC and DC circuits of various voltages
  • Troubleshoot and repair facility electrical and mechanical equipment, including pneumatic and hydraulic systems
  • Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure efficient completion of projects
  • Complete preventive maintenance activities and work orders using the facility's computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
Requirements

  

  • Florida State Electrician or Journeyman's License (Electrician)
  • Minimum of four (4) years of relevant electrical experience.
  • Valid US driver's License with at least 3 years of experience- approvals and final decisions are subject to our automobile insurance carrier's criteria
  • Complete understanding of National Electric Code (NFPA 70 and 70E)
  • Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
