Bus Mechanic (Ford, Chevy) Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, repair & maintain gasoline engine buses (Ford powertrains, Ford Power Stroke engines, trouble shoot and handle all phases of repairs on Ford gasoline 6.8 and 7.3 engines, and Chevy 6.0)
- 5 years’ exp & Certification repairing buses, Lite & Medium duty (i.e.: Blue Bird, Meritor, Allison etc.
- Knowledge of Ford IDS software, Allison DOC & Meritor Wabco.
- Engine, Transmission, Air & Emissions Systems exp (EPA07, EPA10+) Computerized diagnostic skills.
- Communicate with Shop Foreman immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time
- Participate in Company paid training and stay abreast of manufacturer-provided technical updates.
- Maintain dealership-owned tools and manuals.
- Must be able to able to lift 70 lbs.
- Willing/able to obtain certifications (Company paid training)
Preferred candidates will also be or possess:
- Experience specific to above noted vehicles.
- Cummins certifications a plus
- Certifications for any of the above noted vehicles.
- Current CDL, clear of violations/accidents, accompanied by DOT medical cert.
