Girl Scouts - North Carolina Coastal Pines is seeking a Regional Cookie Manager to join its local council! Girl Scouts - North Carolina Coastal Pines represents 41 counties within North Carolina. Girl Scouts - North Carolina Coastal Pines, in partnership with Girl Scouts of the USA, has a mission to build girls of courage, confidence and character who make the world a better place.
The Regional Cookie Manager is a unique position that reports to the Director of Product Sales and manages and supports the cookie sales program within their assigned region. He or she will provide training, guidance, and support to Area Cookie Coordinators (ACCs) and Troop Cookie Coordinators, ensuring a successful cookie sale season anticipated between October through May.
The hourly rate of pay for this position is $15.00.
This is a hybrid role, NOT a fully remote position. The selected candidate must reside in North Carolina, specifically within our council’s 41-county service footprint.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Attend Regional Cookie Manager training in-person in October.
- Conduct training with Area Cookie Coordinators (ACCs) in defined regions between Mid-October and Mid-November following guidelines provided by the Product Sales Department.
- Maintain regular communication and provide ongoing guidance, materials, and support to ACCs and Troop Cookie Coordinators; respond promptly to voicemail and email inquiries.
- Master Smart Cookies software and assist with data management.
- Assist Area Cookie Coordinators in finalizing troop reports, payments, and outstanding debt documentation, and reconciling data in Smart Cookies before exit Meetings.
- Participate in set conference calls with Product Sales Department during Cookie Sale.
- Maintain accurate, detailed records of reimbursable expenses (as identified by Product Sales Department) and submit expense reports to the Director of Product Sales by the 5th of each month.
- Recent experience as a Cookie Sale Volunteer or Regional Cookie Manager with Girl Scouts – NC Coastal Pines at the troop and/or county/area level.
- A Girl Scouts - North Carolina Coastal Pines membership required.
- Daily access to the Internet/e-mail.
- Proficient experience using a computer, the Internet, Internet-based software programs and e-mail.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
