Hours are based upon business needs and may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Merion Golf Club is a private golf club in Ardmore, PA, established in 1896. The Club’s internationally renowned East Course is currently ranked 6th in the nation and 12th in the world. The course has hosted more USGA championships than any other golf course in America and is home to some of history’s greatest golf moments. Although Merion is most well-known for its golf courses, the Club staff takes pride in providing excellence in all dining experiences for Merion’s 1,000-plus members and their guests.

Requirements

I. Essential Duties:

1. Wash and press linens for use within the Clubhouse

2. Maintain stock of clean and pressed linens.

3. Ensure that washing machines are working properly at all times to include chemical distribution to machines and water temperature.

4. Ensure that the dryers are working properly.

5. Clean filters and vents on a scheduled basis.

6. Ensure that the mengler is working properly.

7. Responsible for cleaning locker room towels

8. Maintain a clean and safe environment in the laundry room.

9. Communicate with Food & Beverage for their needs for upcoming functions.

10. Report any maintenance issues to the proper individuals.

11. Perform all other tasks and duties assigned by the supervisor.

II. Environmental Demands

1. Most work performed indoors, occasional exposure to extreme temperatures when traveling from Laundry to Clubhouse or on Terraces.

III. Intellectual Demands

1. Ability to multitask and handle stressful situations.

2. Efficient and proper communication.

3. Organized and self-motivated.

4. Ability to work independently

IV. Physical Demands

1. Excessive kneeling, lifting, bending, and other physical laborious activities.

2. Frequent repetitive motions.

3. Continuous standing and walking.

4. Able to lift, pull or push 30 pounds.
