The Role
The Financial Analyst and/or Virtual Chief Financial Officer serves as a trusted financial partner for independent insurance agencies. This role goes beyond transactional accounting. It focuses on financial insight, accuracy, and judgment that help agency owners make informed decisions. You will own the financial oversight of assigned client accounts, ensuring reporting is accurate, timely, and actionable. Working closely with Segment Managers and Regional Managers, you will help maintain Angela Adams Consulting’s reputation as the premier provider of insurance agency financial services.
This role is ideal for an experienced insurance accounting professional who enjoys client interaction, values precision, and wants to apply their expertise at a higher level — without sacrificing balance or autonomy.
Core Responsibilities
- Ensure all contractual obligations to clients, including time worked and deliverables, are consistently met
- Communicate regularly and proactively with leadership, internal staff, prospects and clients
- Identify additional client needs and recommend solutions-based services
- Always maintain strict confidentiality regarding client, company, and staff information
- Accurately track and record both billable and non-billable time
- Collaborate with CPAs on year-end reporting and processes
- Prepare and analyze year-end financial reports
- Generate and review Production vs. Income reporting
- Conduct due diligence and pro forma reporting for clients
- Perform detailed expense analysis to support client decision-making
- Review and reconcile general ledger accounts
- Develop and deliver comprehensive sales and production reports
- Manage producer commissions with accuracy and timeliness
- Oversee trust banking management to ensure compliance and accuracy
- Create and analyze trending profit and loss (P&L) statements
- Support budgeting processes to help agencies meet financial goals
- Monitor and manage carrier volume reporting

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
