Description
In this role, you will:
- Lead all fabrication, welding, mechanical assembly, and electrical assembly operations
- Execute the manufacturing strategy established by the Director of Manufacturing Operations
- Establish manufacturing priorities aligned with customer commitments and operational objectives
- Develop capacity plans, staffing forecasts, and production resource plans
- Manage manufacturing labor budgets, operating budgets, and resource allocation strategies
- Ensure effective utilization of labor, equipment, facilities, and manufacturing resources
- Drive KPI performance for Safety, Quality, Delivery, Throughput, Labor Efficiency, and Cost
- Review manufacturing performance metrics and implement corrective actions to improve operational effectiveness
- Coordinate priorities between Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Planning, Maintenance, EH&S, and Supply Chain
- Lead Lean Manufacturing, operational excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Champion and enforce a zero-incident safety culture across all manufacturing departments
- Support implementation of manufacturing best practices and standardized operating procedures
- Lead workforce development, succession planning, and leadership development initiatives
- Develop future manufacturing leaders through coaching, mentoring, and succession planning activities
- Lead operational problem-solving and root-cause analysis efforts related to safety, quality, delivery, and productivity
- Support capital equipment planning, automation projects, and manufacturing technology improvements
- Participate in customer visits, audits, executive leadership meetings, and operational reviews
- Support new product introductions, production expansions, and facility growth initiatives
- Lead facility-wide transformation projects and strategic operational initiatives
- Promote operational excellence, accountability, and engagement throughout all manufacturing functions
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum ten (10) years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience
- Minimum five (5) years managing multiple manufacturing departments, business units, or value streams
- Experience leading fabrication, welding, assembly, or industrial manufacturing operations
- Experience managing managers, supervisors, and cross-functional manufacturing teams
- Demonstrated success improving manufacturing performance, workforce effectiveness, and operational efficiency
- Strong communication, coaching, and leadership skills
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams
- Ability to balance long-term strategic planning with day-to-day operational demands
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations Management, Industrial Technology, Business, or a related field
- Lean Manufacturing certification
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems
- Experience implementing automation initiatives and operational excellence programs
- Experience supporting organizational growth, capacity expansion, and manufacturing transformation efforts
- Equivalent combinations of education and relevant experience may be considered
Your Work Schedule
This is a full-time, exempt position working Monday through Friday. This role requires regular presence on the manufacturing floor and occasional travel to support operational initiatives, customer visits, audits, and business activities.

Salary Description
$125,000 - $150,000 per year
