As a Test Technician, you will work with the creative and technical teams behind the design, validation, and production of advanced power conversion systems. Your expertise in production testing, troubleshooting, and process execution will ensure products meet EPC's high standards for quality, reliability, and safety.
This role requires a strong commitment to safe work practices and strict adherence to all Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) requirements, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), electrical safety procedures, PPE requirements, and established test protocols. Success in this position requires strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, self-motivation, and a commitment to continuous improvement from product development through final system validation.
- Responsible for conducting a variety of tests which encompass setting up and testing, as directed in written and verbal instructions, in accordance with applicable standards, and documenting the testing process and outcome
- Understands how to properly follow laboratory technical procedures and test specifications
- Ensures that tests are performed exactly according to published specifications unless informed otherwise by manager or engineer.
- Assembles appropriate tools and test equipment, and follows written specifications necessary for the proper performance of the test
- Sets up and performs tests as directed in accordance with applicable industry and company standards
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of test standards, product test procedures, and instrumentation
- Accurately observes and records test progression and results. Organizes and documents data for each assigned project
- Periodically assist with troubleshooting and development modifications
- Identifies instrumentation in need of calibration and ensures it is not used until properly calibrated
- Applies the principles of 5S (Sort, Set In Order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain) in the performance of daily work responsibilities to ensure a clean, orderly, and safe work area
- Performs all work in strict accordance with EPC Power Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) policies, procedures, and quality standards, taking personal responsibility for maintaining a safe work environment.
- Strictly follows Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), electrical safety, arc flash boundaries, stored energy control, and equipment de-energization procedures before performing testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, or repairs. Stops work immediately and escalates any unsafe condition.
- Never bypasses or defeats safety interlocks, guarding, or established safety controls without documented engineering approval and approved procedures.

Requirements
- 5+ years of related electronics production test experience in a manufacturing or test lab required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of basic principles of electrical, electronic theory or power electronics
- Working knowledge of RF test equipment and familiarity with a wide variety of test equipment
- Excellent manual dexterity and hand/eye coordination
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and wire schematics
- Familiarity with various mechanical and electrical measuring equipment
- Commitment to high quality standards
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
- Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate testing requirements, some weekends as needed
- Ability to work on complex projects with general direction and minimal guidance
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to create, comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions is a must
- Demonstrated ability to understand, follow, and consistently apply all safety requirements, including strict compliance with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), PPE, electrical safety practices, and standard operating procedures.
- Proficient in standard and metric systems
- Strong computer literacy skills, knowledgeable of MS Office tools
