HVAC Sales Manager (Hybrid with Travel)
Fairbury, IL (with travel to all Edelman locations across Illinois and Wisconsin)

We're looking for an HVAC Sales Manager who has been in the trades, has led people before, and knows that lasting sales results come from a team that's coached, motivated, and held to a clear standard — not from one rock star carrying the number.


What You'll Do:

  • Lead the HVAC Sales Team: Coach, motivate, and hold System Advisors accountable across all 9 Edelman locations. Build a team that hits revenue targets without sacrificing the customer experience.
  • Train the Edelman Selling System: Use the Edelman Sales Power Manual, System Advisor Manual, and the One Step Close process to develop your team in the Edelman Training Center.
  • Run the Numbers: Own monthly revenue, conversion rate, average ticket, and close rate by Advisor and by location — and present your team's results at the Wednesday Financial Quick Check meeting.
  • Develop People: Recruit, hire, orient, and train new System Advisors. Coach HVAC Field Supervisors on selling major equipment when they have approval to do so.
  • Partner Across Departments: Work hand-in-hand with the HVAC Manager, the Marketing Manager on lead flow, and the Install Coordinator on handoff quality — closing the loop on every opportunity.
  • Travel the Territory: Spend regular time at each of our 9 locations across Illinois and Wisconsin, with Fairbury, IL as your home base.

What We're Looking For:

  • Leadership Experience: Prior experience leading people — running a crew, managing a department, or leading a sales team. You've held people accountable before and brought the best out of them. This matters more than how many systems you've personally sold.
  • Trades Background: Experience in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, solar, or a related trade. You don't need to be a master HVAC tech, but you need to understand the trades business, the customer, and what it takes to win at the kitchen table.
  • Motivator's Mindset: You're a Solutions Driven coach and a Humbly Confident leader who genuinely cares about developing the people on your team — not just the next sale.
  • Discipline: You can run a structured weekly meeting, build a scorecard, follow through on every action item, and hit the numbers month after month.
  • Travel Ready: Comfortable spending regular days on the road visiting our 9 locations across Illinois and Wisconsin. Fairbury, IL base required or strongly preferred.
