Description

The nature of the job of a Direct Support Professional (DSP) is to provide 1:1 care to individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities at home and in the community.

We are looking for two staff for this position, supporting a set of siblings.


Position 1: Daytime weekday hours, occasional evenings and weekends if possible. Medical background/home health experience preferred. Looking for someone to support an individual with autism and epilepsy safely in the community.


Position 2: 3 days per week after-school from 3p-6p, occasional weekends. Individual is very active and needs a support staff with lots of energy and enthusiasm! :)

Requirements

All DSPs will assist individuals supported with one or more of the following: self-care, self-direction, expressive or receptive language, ambulation or mobility, activities of daily living (ADLs), learning, independent living, economic self-sufficiency, physical activity, or community participation. All DSPs will document work records via AccelTrax with mandatory clocking in and out using Electronic Visit Verification if applicable. Work records will include a narrative note for each shift with what was done to assist the individual, the individual's whereabouts, and the duration of the activities. Progress notes will also include and option to select goals worked on. All DSPs will be trained on the Indiana Home and Community Support Professional standards with additional training as needed on Behavior Support Plans, Risk Plans, or Medication Administration. All DSPs will be trained on and expected to complete Incident Reporting as needed.

Salary Description
$18-22 per hour
