Pool Maintenance Lead Specialist
Description

The Pool Maintenance Lead Specialist is a high-performing field expert responsible for elevating service quality across assigned routes and teams. This role focuses on training technicians, performing quality assurance (QA) inspections, and providing route coverage as needed. The Lead Specialist ensures pools are serviced to company standards, supports technician development, and drives consistency in execution.

Training & Development

  • Train new and existing technicians on pool maintenance standards, chemical balancing, equipment handling, and safety protocols
  • Conduct ride-alongs and hands-on coaching in the field
  • Reinforce company processes, service expectations, and best practices
  • Identify skill gaps and provide targeted retraining

Quality Assurance (QA)

  • Perform routine and random QA inspections of serviced pools
  • Evaluate water chemistry, cleanliness, equipment function, and overall presentation
  • Document QA results and provide clear, actionable feedback
  • Partner with managers to address recurring performance issues

Route Coverage

  • Provide coverage for open routes, PTO, call-outs, and peak workload periods
  • Ensure all assigned pools are completed on schedule and to standard
  • Step into underperforming routes to stabilize service quality

Operational Support

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for troubleshooting pool issues in the field
  • Support managers with onboarding, performance improvement efforts, and escalations
  • Maintain accurate service records in company systems (e.g., Skimmer, ServiceTitan)
  • Ensure proper use and handling of chemicals, tools, and equipment
Requirements

Strong knowledge of:

  • Water chemistry and balancing
  • Pool cleaning techniques and standards
  • Basic equipment troubleshooting (pumps, filters, etc.)
  • Proven ability to train and coach others in a hands-on environment
  • Strong attention to detail and quality standards
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
