The Member Engagement team at AAIS is actively involved in product research and development, assisting the product team, and advising leadership on market trends, legal issues, and regulatory interpretations. As a member of this team, you will be stretched beyond the traditional in-house counsel role and challenged to develop skills in business intelligence, strategic planning, and marketing.
Purpose
The Member Engagement Executive is responsible for driving membership growth, strengthening member relationships, and expanding utilization of AAIS products, services, and strategic initiatives. Working closely with member organizations, prospects, partners, and internal stakeholders, this role serves as a trusted advisor and primary relationship manager for assigned accounts while identifying opportunities to deliver additional value and grow engagement across the AAIS ecosystem. This position combines business development, account management, and relationship leadership responsibilities and plays a critical role in advancing AAIS's Member First strategy.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage relationships with current and prospective member organizations, serving as a primary point of contact for assigned accounts.
- Drive membership growth through new member acquisition and cross-sell opportunities via expanded utilization of AAIS products and services.
- Maintain an active pipeline of prospective member opportunities and strategic growth initiatives.
- Conduct regular outreach with member executives and key stakeholders to understand business priorities, challenges, and future needs.
- Collaborate with Product, Member Success, Marketing, and Strategic Partnerships teams to ensure members receive maximum value from their relationship with AAIS.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen member engagement, improve retention, and expand strategic relationships.
- Represent AAIS at industry conferences, member meetings, and relevant industry events.
- Maintain accurate account plans, relationship information, and opportunity tracking within CRM systems.
- Monitor industry, market, and competitive developments and share insights that may influence member needs or organizational priorities.
- Contribute to the achievement of annual membership growth, engagement targets, and retention goals.
- Perform additional duties as assigned or requested.

- Ability to communicate effectively across multiple channels and asynchronously in a remote-first working environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 5-7 years of property and casualty insurance industry experience.
- Demonstrated success in business development, account management, client engagement, or relationship management roles.
- Experience working directly with insurance carrier executives and decision-makers preferred.
- Willingness to travel up to 30-50% of the time.
