The Guidance Center (TGC) is the Community Mental Health Center and Certified Behavioral Health Clinic serving Leavenworth, Atchison, and Jefferson counties in Kansas. The Guidance Center (TGC) is currently seeking a Crisis Clinician - Daytime to be the newest member of our innovative interdisciplinary team. The Crisis Stabilization Therapist provides clinical services to individuals in crisis, completing screens / intakes and appropriate assessments, conducting therapy sessions, and providing support necessary for stabilization and release. The therapist aids in access to recommended services, such as inpatient hospitalization, substance abuse services, Child/Adult rehabilitation services, and Psychiatric services. The therapist will function collaboratively with other professionals on behalf of their clients. Minimum 40 hours/week, Tuesday to Saturday (Days 9 AM to 5 PM).

- Competitive salary of $84,388 to $89,388, depending upon qualifications.
Primary Duties:
- Provide clinical assessments of clients to justify placement in the Crisis Stabilization Center.
- Provide brief psychotherapy and motivational interviewing for new consumers, as needed.
- Coordinate and promote integration of the program with other agency programs to enhance client outcomes.
- Manage program performance to ensure medically necessary services are provided in the quality and quantity needed to promote client stabilization.
- Respond across Leavenworth, Atchison and Jefferson County as part of a 2-person team, providing mobile crisis interventions to a variety of individuals in crisis.
- Work additional hours when needed to complete the required work.
- Ensure that all clinical services provided are following clinical guidelines of The Guidance Center and regulatory bodies
- Provide documentation (i.e., clinical notes, reports, other professional products, and grant reports) which complies with TGC’s Quality Improvement standards and the requirements of all funding sources.
- Organize work to meet performance expectations and Center requirements
- Maintain effective and cooperative working relationship with TGC staff as well as referral sources and community partners.

QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION AND LICENSURE:
Master's degree in social work, Clinical Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy or Professional Counseling, and licensure by the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board as a LMSW, LMLP, LMFT, LPC, LSCSW, LCP, LCPC OR LCMFT by the first day of employment
EXPERIENCE:
Required: One year of experience working in a residential or crisis stabilization unit providing services to clients in acute and crisis situations and supervising clinical staff.
Preferred: one year experience with the Kansas system of community-based mental health care and associated evidence-based practices.
