Supply Chain Supervisor
Mesa, AZ Supply Chain
Description

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Supervisor to serve as the dedicated supply chain owner for clients at their assigned Gifthealth site. This role is the primary point of accountability for ensuring each client’s supply chain is resilient, compliant, and free of operational disruption. The Supply Chain Supervisor owns the full client relationship from a supply chain perspective, managing everything from initial onboarding and regulatory setup through day-to-day operations and proactive risk communication. When issues arise, this person is the first to identify them, the first to develop a plan, and the primary contact responsible for keeping the client informed. This is a high-ownership role that requires strong experience in supply chain operations, a client-first mindset, and the ability to work cross-functionally to deliver dependable results.

Key Responsibilities

Dedicated Client Supply Chain Ownership

  • Serve as the single, accountable supply chain point of contact for all clients assigned to the site, owning the operational relationship from initial onboarding through steady-state fulfillment.
  • Develop a deep working knowledge of each client’s products, programs, regulatory requirements, order patterns, and operational priorities to anticipate needs and prevent disruptions before they occur.
  • Maintain regular communication cadences with client contacts, providing proactive updates on supply chain performance, upcoming risks, and corrective actions underway.
  • Act as the internal advocate for the client across Gifthealth’s operations, ensuring that warehousing, procurement, fulfillment, and compliance teams are aligned to client-specific requirements.

Supply Chain Resilience and Risk Management

  • Continuously monitor supply chain health for each assigned client, identifying potential disruptions in inventory, procurement, freight, or fulfillment before they impact the client’s operations.
  • Develop and maintain contingency plans for foreseeable supply chain risks, including supplier shortages, freight delays, demand spikes, and regulatory changes that could affect product availability.
  • Communicate supply chain risks to clients promptly and transparently, including the nature of the issue, current impact assessment, and the mitigation plan in place.
  • Partner with procurement and supplier teams to resolve supply constraints, identify alternate sourcing options, and protect against single points of failure in the client’s supply base.
  • Track and report on client-specific KPIs including fill rates, on-time delivery performance, order accuracy, and inventory turns, escalating adverse trends to the Supply Chain Manager.

Client Onboarding and Setup

  • Lead the supply chain onboarding process for new clients, coordinating with internal teams to ensure all regulatory requirements, storage conditions, handling protocols, and documentation standards are established before the client’s first order.
  • Configure client-specific packaging, labeling, and order processes in coordination with operations, ensuring all workflows are documented, tested, and ready to execute at go-live.
  • Ensure client items are correctly set up in the ERP system including item master data, vendor profiles, order parameters, and any client-specific compliance attributes (e.g., lot tracking, serialization, cold chain requirements).
  • Work with Quality, Compliance, and Regulatory teams during onboarding to confirm that all applicable federal, state, and client-mandated requirements are reflected in operational procedures before launch.
  • Conduct post-launch reviews following new client go-lives to identify gaps, refine processes, and ensure the client’s supply chain is operating as designed before transitioning to steady-state management.

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Coordinate with warehouse, receiving, procurement, and fulfillment teams to ensure client orders are prioritized, accurately picked, packed, and shipped in accordance with client-specific requirements.
  • Partner with procurement and the ERP team to monitor inventory levels for client-specific items, initiating replenishment actions in advance of projected shortfalls.
  • Collaborate with Quality and Compliance to address any product holds, recalls, or regulatory flags that affect client inventory, communicating outcomes to the client in a timely and professional manner.
  • Support the Supply Chain Manager with site-level reporting, client performance reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen overall operational reliability.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations, or a related field preferred; or equivalent professional experience in supply chain operations.
  • Licensure/Certification: Not required. APICS CSCP, CPIM, or equivalent supply chain certification is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 4 to 6 years of progressive supply chain experience preferred, with demonstrated ownership of client or customer-facing supply chain functions. Prior experience managing onboarding, compliance setup, or multi-client supply chain operations is strongly preferred. Experience in healthcare, pharmaceutical, or regulated distribution environments is a significant advantage.
  • Skills:
    • Strong client communication skills with the ability to deliver clear, professional updates on supply chain performance and risk, both verbally and in writing.
    • Demonstrated ability to identify and mitigate supply chain risks before they escalate into service failures.
    • Experience leading or managing client onboarding projects with cross-functional coordination across operations, compliance, and procurement teams.
    • Working knowledge of packaging, labeling, and order fulfillment processes, including regulatory or client-specific requirements.
    • Proficiency with ERP systems (Acumatica experience preferred) and standard supply chain reporting tools including Excel or Power BI.
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple clients and competing priorities without losing focus on service quality or accuracy.

Desired Attributes

  • Experience in healthcare, pharmaceutical, specialty pharmacy, or another regulated distribution environment where compliance, chain of custody, and product integrity are non-negotiable.
  • Familiarity with lot tracking, serialization, temperature-controlled storage, and expiration date management in a warehouse or distribution context.
  • Prior experience with client-facing supply chain management, account management, or 3PL / contract logistics environments where performance against client SLAs was a primary responsibility.
  • Comfort building and presenting client-facing reporting including performance dashboards, risk summaries, and onboarding status updates.
  • A proactive, solutions-oriented communication style that keeps clients informed without waiting for them to ask.

Work Environment

  • Location: On-site, Mesa AZ
  • Schedule: Full-time; standard business hours with flexibility required during client onboardings, escalations, or time-sensitive supply events.
  • This role operates in a warehouse and office environment; exposure to temperature-controlled areas including ambient, cold, and freezer zones is expected.
  • Regular collaboration with clients, internal operations teams, suppliers, and the Supply Chain Manager to ensure alignment and accountability across all client programs.

Key Essential Functions

  • Must be able to remain stationary at a workstation for extended periods while managing client communications and ERP tasks.
  • Must be able to move throughout warehouse and operational areas of the site during daily operations and onboarding activities.
  • Must be able to lift and move up to 30 lbs as needed when supporting operational or onboarding activities on the floor.
