Description
Writing internal service repair orders for new cars and used cars, dispatching work to technicians, and subletting work if necessary. Prepare repair orders and estimates for internal Bert Ogden vehicles for service work.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Utilizes Vehicle Reconditioning Software Rapid Recon and keeps updated with proper entries.
- Maintain “Time to Line” (TTL) under 5 days as reported in Rapid Recon.
- Follow the used car process from start to finish as established.
- Report discrepancies and delays on vehicles immediately.
- Provide daily status reports on all vehicles in process.
- Maintain individual RO’s below 30 and ensure all receivables are collectable.
- Verifies warranty and recall status of vehicles.
- Develop estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labor, calculating customer's payment, including deductibles.
- Prepares repair orders (RO) by describing symptoms, problems, and causes discovered, as well as repairs and services required; obtaining approval signatures; entering RO into service database system.
- Maintains customer rapport by explaining estimates and expected return of vehicle; obtaining customer's approval of estimates; obtaining and providing contact telephone numbers; answering questions and concerns; arranging towing and temporary transportation.
- Maintains automotive records by recording problems and corrective actions planned.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading manufacturers' publications.
- Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
- Follows complete Bert Ogden Service process with every service transaction.
- Performs cashiering duties, to include processing credit card payments, taking cash and giving change as necessary.
- Perform any additional request from service management.

Requirements
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Should have a minimum of a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Any relevant education that prepares Service Advisors for the basic aspects of their job including communication, time management and taking direction would be an asset.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or listen. The employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
- Duties are performed primarily at a desk in an office setting. Work includes frequent clerical and administrative responsibilities and interaction with managers and employees.
- Prolonged periods of sitting.
- Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times.
- Occasional lifting, standing, crawling, reaching, use of stairs.
- Occasional attendance at social gatherings.
- Ability to travel occasionally.
