Position Overview
Tactical Revolution, LLC is seeking a Deputy Services Director to support the planning, staffing, logistics, and execution of government and defense-related training contracts. This position will report directly to the Services Director and help manage the day-to-day operations of the Services Division. The Deputy Services Director will assist with reviewing project requirements, identifying management team and key personnel needs, coordinating Managers and Assistant Managers, supporting role player staffing, planning logistics, tracking equipment readiness, and ensuring each contract is properly prepared, staffed, equipped, executed, and closed out in accordance with customer requirements and company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Review PWS, SOW, contract documents, and customer requirements to identify staffing, management, logistics, equipment, and execution needs.
- Assist in planning the management team, key personnel, Managers, Assistant Managers, logistics personnel, and role player support required for each contract.
- Coordinate with Managers to ensure that contract requirements, safety expectations, role-player responsibilities, equipment needs, schedules, and reporting requirements are understood.
- Support planning for project operations, including staffing, schedules, meetup locations, transportation, call sheets, daily accountability, safety briefs, and customer support requirements.
- Coordinate with teammates to ensure role players, firearms, simulated weapons, protective equipment, wardrobe, communications equipment, vehicles, lodging, airfare, storage, shipments, and other contract support needs are planned and ready.
- Help ensure sensitive equipment, serialized items, weapons, SIM/UTM/blank-fire systems, protective gear, training aids, and other company property are properly tracked, staged, issued, recovered, inspected, and documented.
- Monitor contract readiness, personnel issues, shortages, travel issues, logistics gaps, safety concerns, and customer feedback.
- Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, information security, and accountability across all assigned projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned based on company needs, contract requirements, expertise, and operational priorities.
Required Qualifications
- At least 12+ years of prior Special Operations military operational leadership experience. Prior SOF, Naval Special Warfare, MARSOC, or similar operational background. Experience as a Troop Chief, Team Leader, Senior Instructor, Training Director, Exercise Planner, or Operations Manager. Former senior enlisted military leader, such as E-7 to E-9, or equivalent operational leadership experience.
- Experience leading teams ranging from 11 to 150 personnel in field, training, tactical, operational, logistics, or contract support environments.
- Experience coordinating personnel, schedules, travel, vehicles, lodging, equipment, vendors, and field support requirements. Ability to read, understand, and act on PWS/SOW requirements, contract documents, and customer expectations.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Teams, SharePoint, PDF tools, email platforms, and shared document systems.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and follow through without constant supervision. Ability to work extended hours, weekends, or travel as required to support operational needs. Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and moving parts at the same time.
- Eligible to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with role player operations, military training events, range safety, high-risk training support, SIM/UTM/blank-fire systems, sensitive equipment accountability, and field logistics.
- Experience managing sensitive, serialized, controlled, or high-accountability equipment.
- Familiarity with DoD contracts, DFARS, ITAR, FFL-related accountability, defense logistics, controlled materials, or government training support.
Work Location and Schedule
This position is based in Virginia Beach, VA. The Deputy Services Director will primarily support company operations from the Virginia Beach area but will be required to travel to training sites, contract locations, vendor locations, or customer sites at least 40% of the time. This position may require extended hours, early mornings, evenings, weekends, or short-notice availability depending on contract timelines and operational requirements.
Compensation
This is a full-time, salary-exempt position, depending on experience and qualifications, with project-based bonuses and incentives.
