Requirements
- Remove existing HVAC equipment, including air handlers, furnaces, condensers, heat pumps, evaporator coils, and related components.
- Install new residential HVAC systems, including split systems, heat pumps, gas furnaces, air handlers, package units, mini-split systems, and accessories.
- Install and modify refrigerant lines, condensate drains, duct transitions, plenums, and electrical connections as required.
- Perform system evacuations, pressure testing, refrigerant charging, and startup procedures according to EPA and manufacturer guidelines.
- Verify proper airflow, static pressure, superheat, subcooling, temperature split, and system performance.
- Install thermostats, zoning equipment, IAQ products, UV lights, surge protectors, and other HVAC accessories.
- Ensure all work complies with local, state, and federal codes.
- Complete all required installation documentation, photographs, and startup checklists.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites before, during, and after installation.
- Communicate professionally with homeowners regarding installation progress and system operation.
- Work effectively with helpers, apprentices, warehouse staff, and management.
- Load and unload equipment, tools, and materials safely.
- Return unused materials and maintain company vehicles and tools.
- Participate in training to stay current on new equipment, technology, and installation practices.
- Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
