Description

The NECA Director of Operations E2E Summit (E2E) & Project Management Apprenticeship (PMA) will engage in two distinct NECA programs that offer numerous opportunities for alignment and synergy. The E2E focus is responsible for leading all facets and support functions of the E2E Summit powered by NECA event, including, but not limited to, sales, marketing, budgeting, timeline, attendee experience, and post-event follow-up. The PMA focus is responsible for driving engagement and awareness around the PMA program. This position operates as a PMA Ambassador, ensuring that NECA member contractors, chapters, apprentices, and stakeholders understand the value of the program.

Requirements
  •  Develop and execute a comprehensive demand creation and sales strategy to recruit and secure contractor and supplier executives as event participants, meeting or exceeding annual enrollment and revenue targets.  
  • Build and manage a year-round sales pipeline, tracking prospect engagement, conversion rates, and revenue/budget forecasts. 
  • Lead the customized matching process that pairs contractor executives with suppliers based on each company's strategic priorities, innovation interests, and business goals, ensuring each Executive-to-Executive meeting is purposeful, relevant, and high-value. 
  • Conduct pre-summit discovery with all participants to understand their objectives, target topics, and desired outcomes, using those insights to choreograph a personalized meeting schedule for each company. 
  • Continuously refine the matching methodology based on participant feedback, satisfaction data, and evolving industry trends to sustain exceptional Net Promoter Score results. 
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for participants before, during, and after the event, ensuring a white-glove experience from initial outreach through post-event follow-up. 
  • Direct and collaborate with the Meetings & Events team to manage end-to-end event logistics, including venue selection, registration, lodging, catering, audiovisual, and on-site operations. 
  • Develop and manage detailed event budgets, timelines, and project plans with clear milestones, ensuring flawless execution within financial targets. 
  • Oversee on-site event delivery, managing real-time logistics, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring the intimate, high-touch atmosphere that distinguishes the E2E Summit from conventional industry events. 
  • Lead and direct the Marketing & PR team in developing the E2E Summit's brand identity, messaging, and visual standards across all channels, including signage, promotional materials, digital campaigns, and social media. 
  • Design and implement a comprehensive event measurement framework, tracking key metrics including participant satisfaction (NPS), financial performance, attendee retention, new attendee rates, and meeting quality scores. 
  • Lead the post-summit debriefs and analyze participant feedback to identify opportunities for improvement and inform strategic planning for future E2E Summits. 

Project Management Apprenticeship Responsibilities:  

  • Become the NECA, PMA subject matter expert. 
  • Represent the PMA at NECA events, conferences, chapter meetings, and industry events to generate awareness and drive enrollment. 
  • Gather and synthesize apprentice feedback to continuously improve program delivery, content, and support services. 
  • Execute touchpoint strategies, cohort launches, check-ins, and recognition milestones that keep apprentices motivated and connected from enrollment through completion. 

Requisite Education and Experience:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, education, construction management, or related field. 
  • 3 - 5 years of progressively responsible experience in the electrical construction industry. 
  • Experience with the B2B hosted buyer event format is strongly preferred  
  • Proficiency with manufacturers and suppliers in the electrical construction industry supply chain is strongly preferred. 
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholder relationships simultaneously. 
  • A creative mindset with a passion for delivering memorable experiences. 

Working Conditions:  

  • Frequent travel is required. Must be willing to travel 30% of the time, including overnight stays. 
  • Work from home, including maintaining a home office.
