Essential Functions:
- Set up and operate manual and/or CNC machine tools, including mills, lathes, grinders, boring mills, and other precision machining equipment.
- Manufacture, machine, modify, repair, and rebuild precision components and assemblies to engineering specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, technical specifications, work instructions, and machining documentation.
- Determine machining methods, tooling, machine setups, feeds, speeds, and production sequences to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, gauges, and other inspection equipment to verify dimensional accuracy and tolerances.
- Perform machine setup, alignment, adjustments, troubleshooting, and routine preventive maintenance.
- Inspect finished components to ensure compliance with quality standards and customer requirements.
- Complete production, inspection, and quality documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams to support manufacturing objectives.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all company safety policies and procedures.
- Minimum of three (3) years of machinist experience in one or more of the following industries:
- Aerospace
- Defense
- Marine or Shipbuilding
- Ground Transportation or Rail
- Industrial Manufacturing
- Metal Fabrication
- Or another precision manufacturing environment
- Experience operating manual and/or CNC machining equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Working knowledge of precision measuring instruments and inspection techniques.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, and various shifts as required.
