Position Purpose
The Loan Support Specialist I supports lending operations by maintaining accurate loan documentation, assisting with loan servicing tasks, and supporting compliance-related activities. This role performs loan file reviews, tracks collateral and lien requirements, and provides administrative support across consumer and mortgage lending functions. The position also supports communication with members and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate handling of loan-related requests. Through attention to detail, organization, and responsiveness, this role helps ensure lending operations remain accurate, compliant, and efficient.

What You’ll Do
Loan File Review & Documentation Support
- Perform loan file reviews to ensure documentation is complete and compliant
- Maintain accurate and organized loan files
- Support documentation preparation and updates
- Ensure loan records meet policy and regulatory requirements

Collateral & Lien Tracking
- Track and maintain collateral documentation, including titles, mortgages, UCC filings, and insurance
- Support lien perfection and follow up on outstanding items
- Verify insurance coverage and required documentation
- Ensure collateral records are accurate and complete

Loan Servicing Support
- Assist with servicing activities such as payoffs, address changes, skip payments, and collateral releases
- Support ancillary product processes (e.g., GAP claims, debt protection documentation)
- Maintain accurate servicing records
- Assist with loan-related follow-up tasks

Reporting & Compliance Support
- Complete and maintain required operational reports
- Ensure report accuracy and audit readiness
- Track and maintain report history
- Support compliance with lending policies and regulatory requirements

Member & Internal Support
- Respond to member and internal inquiries via phone and email
- Provide general information related to lending processes and services
- Route complex inquiries to appropriate team members
- Support a professional and responsive service experience

Administrative & Operational Support
- Perform administrative tasks such as correspondence, document preparation, and mail distribution
- Maintain department records and documentation systems
- Support workflow coordination across lending functions
- Assist with special projects and department initiatives

- Support lending and operations staff as needed
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth workflow
- Share information and assist team members
- Participate in meetings and team initiatives

Qualifications
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required

Experience
Previous administrative, lending, or financial services experience preferred
