Key Responsibilities:

  • Call Management: Professionally handle incoming calls to schedule appointments for new and existing patients, ensuring timely and efficient service.
  • Routing & Coordination: Direct calls to the appropriate departments or individuals as necessary.
  • Data Entry: Accurately collect and update patient and insurance information using Open Dental software.
  • Cross-Training: Engage in cross-training across various departments, with opportunities for rotational duties.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Meet scheduling targets and consistently deliver high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • High-Volume Call Handling: Manage a large volume of inbound calls with compassion and professionalism, addressing inquiries and concerns effectively.
  • Telephone Etiquette & Problem-Solving: Demonstrate excellent telephone etiquette, active listening, and adept problem-solving skills.
  • Outbound Calls: Make outbound calls to insurance companies and patients to verify eligibility, gather necessary information, and schedule appointments across multiple locations.
  • Project Participation: Take part in projects, meetings, and complete additional tasks as directed by the leadership team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the dental industry or phone-based customer service, especially in high call volume settings.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proactive and resourceful approach to problem-solving.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks independently.
  • Professional and supportive demeanor with patients.
  • High accuracy in typing and data entry.
  • Outgoing personality with a talent for building rapport over the phone.
  • Motivation to meet and exceed company goals.

Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Bilingual abilities are a plus.
  • 1-2 years of dental experience, required 
  • OMS software experience, preferred

Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Friday 7:45 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
