About SkyHop Global
Join SkyHop Global, a dynamic leader in airline crew transportation, as we continue to grow and innovate in the industry. Based in Fort Lauderdale, FL, our team is dedicated to ensuring airline pilots and flight attendants reach their destinations safely, efficiently, and on time. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Fleet & Operations Coordinator to be the communication hub of our 24/7 dispatch center, playing a vital role in maintaining our high standards of safety, service, and operational excellence.
The Role
SkyHop Global is seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Fleet & Operations Coordinator to serve as the central communication hub for our 24/7 airline crew transportation operation. In this role, you will coordinate real-time communication between airline flight crews, airline partners, station leadership, and drivers to ensure the safe, reliable, and on-time transportation of airline pilots and flight attendants.
This is a fast-paced, high-volume, mission-critical position requiring the ability to simultaneously manage multiple phone calls, crew requests, driver communications, dispatch issues, operational reports, emails, system updates, radio traffic, and rapidly changing operational conditions while maintaining accuracy, urgency, and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor airline crew transportation to ensure safe, reliable, and on-time service.
- Serve as the primary point of communication between airline crew members, drivers, station leadership, airline partners, and the Operations Control Center (OCC).
- Manage multiple communication channels simultaneously, including phone calls, emails, dispatch software, GPS tracking systems, radio communications, and operational messaging platforms.
- Monitor vehicle locations and dispatch activity, adjusting schedules and assignments in response to flight delays, traffic conditions, weather events, vehicle issues, and other operational changes.
- Coordinate driver assignments while maintaining service standards and maximizing operational efficiency.
- Accurately document operational activity, service disruptions, incidents, and schedule changes in company systems.
- Identify operational risks and escalate issues to leadership in a timely manner.
- Deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures.
- Collaborate closely with fellow dispatchers and operations team members to ensure seamless coverage across a shared dispatch environment.
What It Takes to Succeed
Success in this role requires exceptional multitasking, situational awareness, and sound judgment. Multiple dispatchers work together to support the same operation, making continuous communication, teamwork, and coordination essential. Team members must quickly recognize when another dispatcher is already addressing a crew request or operational issue and seamlessly shift priorities to support the overall operation.
The ideal candidate is able to:
- Prioritize multiple competing demands without sacrificing accuracy or customer service.
- Make timely, well-informed decisions in rapidly changing operational environments.
- Adapt quickly to flight delays, cancellations, weather events, traffic conditions, and other service disruptions.
- Maintain professionalism, composure, and attention to detail during periods of high call volume and operational pressure.
- Demonstrate a strong sense of urgency, accountability, and ownership for operational outcomes.
- Remain flexible to work assigned schedules, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as business needs require.
- Think critically, prioritize competing demands, make timely decisions when immediate action is required, adapt quickly to flight delays, weather events, traffic conditions, service disruptions, and other operational changes, promptly escalate operational concerns to leadership, accurately document operational activity, and deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining operational excellence.
- Thrives in a fast-paced operational environment, enjoys solving problems collaboratively, demonstrates sound judgment under pressure, and is committed to making real-time decisions that directly impact service performance and the overall success of the operation.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Two (2) or more years of dispatch experience in transportation, logistics, or a related field preferred.
- Four (4) or more years of customer service experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment preferred.
- Strong communication, multitasking, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with GPS/tracking systems, dispatch software, and Microsoft Office applications.
