Position Summary

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations by receiving, storing, organizing, and distributing materials, tools, equipment, and supplies. This position helps maintain inventory accuracy, ensures timely fulfillment of requests, and promotes a safe, clean, and efficient work environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and unload incoming shipments.
  • Verify quantities and inspect materials for accuracy and damage.
  • Organize, stock, and maintain warehouse inventory and storage areas.
  • Pick, stage, package, and load materials for delivery or job site distribution.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts and physical inventories.
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks (as authorized).
  • Assist with tracking and documenting inventory transactions.
  • Prepare shipping documents and coordinate outbound shipments.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
  • Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and OSHA guidelines.
  • Assist with general warehouse and facility maintenance duties as needed.
  • Support other departments with material requests and inventory needs.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently to load, unload, transport, and store materials.
Requirements

  Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Current forklift certification and the ability to safely operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 75 pounds regularly.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Preferred

  • 2+ years of warehouse, inventory, logistics, or material handling experience.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Experience with inventory management or warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • Knowledge of warehouse safety practices and OSHA regulations.

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, and lifting.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and pull materials and equipment.
  • Ability to climb ladders and access storage areas when necessary.

Working Conditions

  • Warehouse and yard environments.
  • Exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
  • Occasional overtime may be required based on business needs.
