About the Role

Austin Telco Federal Credit Union is seeking a Head Teller to oversee daily teller operations and provide frontline support at our Lakeway Branch. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, enjoys coaching others, ensures accurate and efficient transactions, and creates a welcoming experience for both members and team members.
What You’ll Do
- Open and close the branch following security procedures
- Supervise teller staff, including training, scheduling, and performance support
- Provide accurate, courteous, and prompt service to members in person and by phone
- Assist members with account inquiries, transactions, and loan processing
- Open and close accounts, IRAs, HSAs, Share Certificates, and ensure proper documentation
- Process payments, deposits, withdrawals, wire transfers, and fraud/dispute paperwork
- Balance cash drawer and maintain vault security
- Support mobile deposit and coin counter transactions
- Collaborate with branch management and attend required training sessions
What You Bring
- High school diploma or GED
- At least one year of experience in a financial institution or teller role
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Ability to supervise and support a team effectively
- Familiarity with financial systems and office equipment
