Position Function:
The Quality Manager is responsible for leading and maintaining the organization's Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 requirements, customer expectations, and regulatory standards. This role partners closely with all departments to drive quality excellence, process standardization, continuous improvement, and operational effectiveness. The Quality Manager serves as the site lead for ISO certification activities and is responsible for maintaining audit readiness and successful certification outcomes.
Job Duties:
- Lead all quality activities to ensure products are consistently manufactured to established specifications and quality standards.
- Maintain ownership of the Quality Management System (QMS) and ensure ongoing compliance with ISO 9001 requirements.
- Serve as the primary management representative for ISO 9001 certification, surveillance audits, and recertification audits.
- Plan, coordinate, and manage internal, customer, and third-party audits.
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality procedures, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
- Define and monitor quality inspections throughout manufacturing processes.
- Maintain documented information required for QMS compliance.
- Investigate customer complaints and lead corrective and preventive action activities.
- Lead root cause analysis and 8D investigations to address quality issues and drive continuous improvement.
- Generate and manage nonconformance and defective material reports.
- Analyze quality metrics and key performance indicators and recommend improvement actions.
- Facilitate management reviews and support achievement of annual quality objectives.
- Train employees on quality systems, procedures, and best practices.
- Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve quality concerns and improve performance.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization.

Requirements
Education & Certification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or a related technical discipline.
- ISO 9001 Auditor, Internal Auditor, ASQ Certified Quality Manager (CMQ/OE), or similar quality certification preferred.
- Additional quality certifications are a plus.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Quality Manager or equivalent quality leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated experience managing and maintaining an ISO 9001-certified Quality Management System.
- Proven experience leading ISO certification, surveillance, and recertification audits.
- Experience conducting internal audits and managing corrective action programs.
- Experience working in electronics, PCB, semiconductor, aerospace, defense, or other high-reliability manufacturing environments preferred.
- Familiarity / Experience with IPC Standards preferred.
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and Quality Management System requirements.
- Experience with quality tools and methodologies including 8D, CAPA, Root Cause Analysis, FMEA, SPC, and Continuous Improvement.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to develop and maintain quality documentation, procedures, and training programs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Knowledge of regulatory and customer quality requirements applicable to manufacturing operations.
