Job Summary: The Production Control Coordinator plays a crucial role in managing and optimizing the production workflow within a PCB (Printed Circuit Board) manufacturing facility. This position involves planning, scheduling, and coordinating production activities to ensure timely delivery of products while maintaining quality standards.
Production Planning:
- Develop and maintain production schedules based on customer orders, inventory levels, and capacity.
- Coordinate with various departments (engineering, quality assurance, and supply chain) to ensure alignment on production goals.
Monitoring and Reporting:
- Track production progress and output against schedules.
- Prepare and analyze production reports, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
- Communicate any potential delays or issues to management and propose solutions.
Inventory Management:
- Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods to support production schedules.
- Collaborate with purchasing to ensure timely procurement of materials.
Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Assist in the implementation of lean manufacturing principles and best practices.
Collaboration:
- Serve as a liaison between production, engineering, and customer service to ensure clear communication and alignment on priorities.
- Participate in cross-functional teams to address production challenges and enhance operational performance.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
Experience: 2+ years of experience in production control, scheduling, or manufacturing operations, preferably in the PCB industry.
- Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in production planning software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with ERP systems is a plus.
Work Environment:
- Office setting within a manufacturing facility.
- May require occasional overtime or weekend work during peak production periods.
