ROLE OVERVIEW
We are looking for a collaborative and hands-on Enterprise Systems Lead to help modernize and optimize core business systems and operational workflows. This is not a traditional ERP administrator or maintenance role. Be the leader in our ERP Transformation!
Over the next several years, we anticipate replacing our legacy enterprise system, and this role will be expected to help lead that evaluation, planning, implementation, and long-term ownership.
This role leads improvement of enterprise systems, including ERP, integrations, manufacturing technologies, operational workflows, reporting platforms, and AI-enabled business capabilities.

You will work directly with leadership, operational teams, frontline users, and the CIO to help drive enterprise systems improvements across the organization. You will report directly to the CIO.
This role owns the performance, integration strategy, and continuous improvement of core enterprise systems.
Lead Enterprise Systems Improvements
- Drive optimization and continuous improvement of ERP and enterprise systems
- Identify opportunities to simplify workflows, reduce manual processes, and improve operational efficiency
- Help define enterprise systems architecture to support growth and scalability
- Partner with leadership to evaluate, select, and implement future ERP platforms, modules, and related technologies, including the planned replacement of our legacy enterprise system
- Leverage AI, automation, APIs, and analytics to support process improvement, legacy system analysis, integrations, documentation, and enterprise systems modernization
Own the ERP & Enterprise Systems Ecosystem
- Serve as the primary owner for ERP-related systems, integrations, and connected operational technologies
- Manage integrations across ERP, EDI, TMS, CRM, HMI/MES, reporting/data platforms, SaaS applications, APIs, and third-party operational systems
- Ensure system reliability, performance, scalability, usability, and data quality across the ecosystem
- Drive governance, process consistency, and master data discipline
- Continuously improve system architecture, integrations, workflows, and operational effectiveness
Improve User & Customer Experience
- Improve usability and reduce friction across systems and workflows
- Partner closely with operations, manufacturing, customer service, finance, and supply chain teams to understand challenges and deliver practical solutions
- Identify opportunities where automation, AI, or improved system design can improve operational effectiveness
Drive Cross-Functional Collaboration & Change
- Build strong partnerships across operations, manufacturing, supply chain, finance, customer service, and leadership teams
- Work closely with frontline users and stakeholders to understand operational pain points and improve day-to-day processes
- Translate operational challenges into scalable technology solutions
- Drive adoption, accountability, and organizational alignment across initiatives
- Challenge legacy processes and identify better ways of working
Lead Strategic Initiatives & Execution
- Lead initiatives from concept through execution while balancing quality, communication, and operational readiness
- Build implementation plans that drive measurable business outcomes
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, priorities, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure successful delivery
- Balance strategic improvement efforts with operational stability and day-to-day business needs
- Bring structure and clarity to complex initiatives
- Establish KPIs and success metrics to measure system effectiveness, adoption, process improvement, and business impact
Partner with Vendors & Technology Providers
- Lead relationships with ERP vendors, implementation partners, consultants, and third-party solution providers
- Hold external partners accountable for quality, execution, timelines, and business value
- Lead or support ERP implementations, upgrades, module rollouts, and operational technology initiatives
- Evaluate platforms and technologies with a pragmatic mindset focused on business outcomes, simplicity, scalability, usability, and long-term flexibility

Qualifications, Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience preferred
- 5+ years of experience supporting, improving, implementing, or optimizing ERP and enterprise business systems
- Experience working in manufacturing, operational, or process-driven environments preferred
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and driving operational improvements strongly preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, project leadership, and execution skills
- Strong SQL, API, data analysis, QA, and systems integration experience
- Experience working with third-party vendors, implementation partners, and SaaS platforms
Preferred
- Manufacturing industry experience
- ERP evaluation, selection, and implementation experience
- Experience with operational technology, HMI, MES, or manufacturing integrations
- Familiarity with regulatory, audit, cGMP, or quality-driven environments
- Experience with modern analytics platforms, automation tools, AI-enabled systems, or cloud-based architectures
