FACILITIES MAINTENENCE MANAGER

The City of Greer is currently accepting applications for a Facilities Maintenance Manager in our Facilities Maintenance Department. 


Responsibilities:

· Supervises, coordinates, assigns, and reviews work and establishes work schedules; maintains standards; monitors status of work in progress; inspects completed work assignments; answers questions; gives advice and direction as needed to all maintenance and custodial staff.

· Helps plan department annual budget then oversees and maintains expenditures not to exceed the budget once approved by city council.

· Various hands-on maintenance duties are necessary to maintain and enhance the value of city facilities, diagnosing problems and overseeing repairs as necessary in electrical, plumbing, flooring, carpentry, drywall, painting. And exterior structures.

· Manages third party contractors as needed.

· Selects, orders, and inventories custodial and maintenance supplies, materials, and equipment.

· Provides overall maintenance of heating and air conditioning systems to include the service and repair of all air conditioning equipment.

· Performs or schedules preventative maintenance and repairs on assigned equipment such as boilers, condensate tanks, pumps, chillers, towers, and equipment.

· Inspects and performs or schedules preventative maintenance on emergency generators regularly.

· Responds to specific building service requests and takes corrective actions. Prioritizes needs and adjusts schedules accordingly.

· Provides or schedules plumbing and electrical repairs and maintenance.

· Serves as primary contact for all building repairs and maintenance issues and is on-call as necessary. 

· Maintains the preventative maintenance schedule program for applicable equipment and machinery. 

· Enforces sound safety and housekeeping practices.

 

Hours: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, M-F; with additional hours as needed


Salary: Minimum $80,504; Compensation will be determined based on experience, skills and qualifications.

Requirements

    

Job Requirements:

· Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, Engineering Technology or related field.

· Five (5) years’ experience in the building maintenance field.

· Three (3) years of supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.

· Must be skilled in all areas of facilities maintenance to include electrical, carpentry, HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical. 

· Must possess a valid state-issued driver’s license.
