Mack Industries is looking for an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Astatula, Florida.

In this role, you'll help keep our operation running by maintaining and repairing a diverse fleet of trucks, trailers, forklifts, heavy equipment, and company vehicles. What You’ll Do:

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair diesel engines and fleet equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime
• Complete DOT inspections and maintain accurate service records
• Repair engines, transmissions, steering, braking, suspension, hydraulic, electrical, and lighting systems
• Maintain and repair company trucks, trailers, forklifts, loaders, and other heavy equipment
• Respond to occasional roadside service calls for company vehicles
• Maintain inventory of parts and shop tools
• Keep the maintenance shop clean, organized, and safe

What We’re Looking For:

• At least 3 years of diesel mechanic experience (technical education may be      substituted for experience)
• Experience diagnosing diesel engine and equipment issues
• Strong hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Experience performing preventative maintenance and inspections
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• High school diploma or GED
• Experience working on construction, heavy equipment, or industrial fleets

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, squat, and crawl throughout the workday
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying Florida weather conditions
