The employee will assist in responding to and fulfilling Public Records Requests submitted to the District Attorney’s office and St. Tammany Parish Government. The employee will be learning, understanding, and applying the Louisiana Public Records Law
(La. R.S. 44:1 et seq). The employee will redact documents in conformity with the Louisiana Public Records Law. The employee will be responsible for copying, scanning, faxing, emailing, and mailing documents and correspondence. The employee must always keep the supervisor informed of all Public Records Requests, and following written policies and protocols regarding responses and production of requests. The employee will learn when to act independently and when to refer issues to supervisor. The employee will be maintaining confidentiality of all cases and office-related matters including victim/law enforcement/attorney information and other duties as may be assigned.
· Prior professional office experience required
· Must possess excellent organizational skills

· Ability to work with others in a professional office environment

· Experience in case management and/or legal research
Compensation - Salary based upon qualifications and relevant experience, paid vacation/sick, retirement benefits as well as paid health for employee
