We are looking for a Maintenance Painter for the following shift:

First Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Full-Time: Monday – Friday + Occasional Overtime as Needed

OnSite: Tampa, FL

JOB SUMMARY

The Industrial Painter on our Maintenance team focuses on the preservation and coating of specialized equipment, specifically metal oil and storage tanks. Will also assist in performing general maintenance projects and duties as needed.


Essential Duties

  • Duties include preparation for paint, including sanding, grinding, masking, and staging of components based on need
  • Complete all paint preparation processes according to manufacturing specifications
  • Inspect paint finish to insure adherence to quality standards
  • Basic weldment understanding and be able to visually inspect welds for defects prior to painting
  • Must be able to perform refinishing and coating duties
  • Ability to spot imperfections and maintain consistent, high-quality finishes
  • If needed, assist in the installation, repair, maintenance, and remodeling of:
  • Plumbing and pipefitting
  • Lighting, motors, generators, conduit
  • Carpentry (rough and finish)
  • Ceiling and flooring
  • Locks and closing devices
  • Doors, windows, fencing and associated hardware
  • Operation of hand tools, power tools, assorted machinery as needed
  • Correction of safety hazards


Required Qualifications

  • Experience with painting or working in manufacturing/industrial environments is preferred. Operation and maintenance of equipment.
  • Oral and written communication.
  • Must be able to climb and work from heights.
  • Strong attention to detail, dexterity, and ability to read production orders.
  • Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and work in varied temperatures.

Work Environment + Physical Requirements

Ability to operate hand and power tools with both arms, to push and pull equipment and reach or work overhead frequently. Stamina to perform physical labor, stand and walk long hours, climbing, working in confined or awkward spaces, stooping, lifting, bending and carrying materials carrying 20-50 pounds. This position is also subject to noise, electrical hazards, dust and noxious odors.

This job environment entails with exposure to non-controlled temperature and moderate noises. There will be frequent exposure to the sun and inclement weather.
