Description
Delta Point (DP) is currently seeking a Power BI Analyst to support our customer at Aberdeen Proving Ground.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using Microsoft Power BI.
- Build and optimize data models, including star schemas, relationships, and performance-focused data structures.
- Develop and troubleshoot DAX measures, calculations, and business logic.
- Utilize Power Query and Power BI Dataflows to cleanse, transform, and integrate data from multiple sources.
- Create and maintain automated workflows and business processes using Power Automate.
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders across multiple departments.
- Partner with business leaders to identify key metrics, performance indicators, and reporting needs.
- Present insights and recommendations to leadership in a clear, concise, and actionable manner.
- Troubleshoot reporting, data quality, and system issues while identifying opportunities for process improvement.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, report specifications, and user guidance materials.
- Support end users by providing training, assistance, and ongoing enhancements to reporting solutions.
- Continuously evaluate emerging technologies, including AI tools, to improve efficiency and solve business challenges.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
The qualified candidate will possess the following experience:
- 2–4 years of experience in Business Intelligence, data analytics, reporting, or a related field.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Power BI, including:
- Data modeling, relationships, and cardinality
- Star schema design and optimization
- Dashboard and report development
- Data visualization best practices
- Creating and troubleshooting DAX measures and calculations.
- Developing automated workflows using Power Automate.
- Gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements from stakeholders.
- Presenting data insights and recommendations to executive leadership.
- Leveraging AI tools to improve efficiency, solve technical challenges, and support continuous learning.
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to or experience with Palantir Foundry, including Ontology concepts and application development.
- Experience supporting multiple business functions, departments, or cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with data governance, reporting standards, and analytics best practices.
- Experience developing enterprise reporting solutions that support operational and strategic decision-making.
- Experience working with Microsoft 365 data sources, including SharePoint, Teams, and Excel.
- Working knowledge of Power Query and Power BI Dataflows for data transformation and integration.
