Advanced Dermatology, P.C. is seeking a skilled and motivated Medical Assistant with dermatology experience to join our team in Staten Island. This is a great opportunity to work one-on-one with a dedicated provider in a fast-paced, high-quality dermatology setting.
Position Summary
The Medical Assistant provides administrative and clinical support to licensed medical providers, as allowable by
law, to ensure appropriate patient care and efficient office operations. A Certified (Registered) Medical Assistant
supports providers and patients by handling various patient-care tasks related to management, organization, and
communication. The position requires accuracy, quality work, compassion, and timeliness, while attending to
patient needs.

What You’ll Do
- Prepare patients for exams and assist during dermatologic procedures
- Take vitals, document medical history, and update EHR (EMA experience a plus)
- Assist with biopsies, suture removal, dressing changes, and specimen handling
- Sterilize instruments and maintain exam room readiness
- Support providers with prescriptions, refills, and patient follow-ups
- Handle patient communication, scheduling, and general administrative tasks
- Ensure a smooth and positive patient experience from start to finish
What We’re Looking For
- Certified Medical Assistant (required)
- At least 1 year of dermatology experience, including surgical and cosmetic exposure preferred
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology
- Comfortable in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Excellent communication skills and compassionate patient care approach
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to work evenings/weekends and travel occasionally if needed
- Experience with EMA EHR system
- Previous front desk/reception experience
