PRN Dentist

Location: Charles City, Virginia 

Employment Type: As Needed (PRN) Contract

Job Summary

Vision Quest Solutions is seeking a PRN Dentist to provide comprehensive dental services in support of the Indian Health Service (IHS) at the Mid-Atlantic Tribal Health Center. This is a non-personal services contract providing coverage for provider absences, vacancies, and other staffing needs. Services are performed on an as-needed basis during normal clinic hours. 

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive dental care for patients of all ages. 
• Perform examinations, diagnosis, treatment planning, and preventive dental services. 
• Perform restorative procedures, extractions, endodontic procedures, periodontal care, and emergency dental treatment. 
• Interpret dental radiographs and diagnostic studies. 
• Prescribe medications within the scope of practice. 
• Coordinate referrals to specialists when appropriate. 
• Maintain complete and timely electronic medical records. 
• Participate in clinic meetings as requested. 
• Follow all IHS and Mid-Atlantic Tribal Health Center policies and infection control standards.  

Minimum Qualifications

• DDS or DMD from a CODA-accredited dental program. 
• Active, unrestricted dental license. 
• Minimum of 12 months of recent clinical dental experience within the past 5 years. 
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. 
• Board Certified. 
• DEA registration (required for credentialing). 
• Professional liability insurance of at least $1M/$3M. 
• Ability to obtain IHS credentialing, privileging, security clearance, and background investigation.  

Schedule

• PRN/As Needed 
• Monday-Friday 
• 8:00 AM-4:30 PM 
• No weekends 
• Federal holidays observed.
