POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Director of Sports & Recreation, the Skate Center & Rentals Coordinator is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the YMCA Skate Center and coordinating facility rentals, birthday parties, and special events. This position provides excellent customer service, ensures facilities are prepared for guests, maintains equipment, and helps create a safe, fun, and welcoming environment for members and the community.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Coordinate Skate Center schedules, public skate sessions, and special events.
- Schedule and oversee birthday parties and facility rentals.
- Serve as the primary contact for skate center reservations and customer inquiries.
- Maintain skate rental inventory and equipment.
- Schedule and direct part-time skate center staff during operating hours.
- Prepare facilities before and after rentals and events.
- Assist with marketing and promotion of skate center programs and rentals.
- Maintain attendance records, rental schedules, and reports.
- Ensure compliance with YMCA safety policies and risk management procedures.
- Assist with general facility upkeep and event setup.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Customer service or recreation experience preferred.
- Experience with facility rentals or event coordination preferred.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends. A consistent schedule will be established based on the needs of the business.
- Comfortable working independently and multitasking.

- Ability to work with paint, cleaning equipment, chemical compounds, solvents, cleaners, and solutions in dry, liquid, powder, spray, and aerosol forms
- Sufficient strength, agility, and mobility to perform position functions
- Must be able to coordinate a variety of large and small tasks simultaneously
- Must be able to handle stress and tension in a positive manner
- Ability to work in conditions that will create dirt and dust
- Ability to perform essential maintenance to facility or equipment which may involve, but not limited to the following activities: semi-reaching to full-reach overhead, crouching, kneeling, shoveling, carrying, working in narrow and confining spaces that may be underground, overhead or at ground level. Twisting of the waist, shoulders, and legs and lying on the stomach and back.
