Your Role as an SLPA
As a Home Care SLPA, you'll work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to provide high-quality, individualized therapy services in patients’ homes.
Responsibilities include:
- Assist in implementing individualized speech and language treatment plans under the direction of a licensed SLP
- Conduct in-home therapy sessions to improve communication, cognitive-linguistic skills, and functional abilities
- Support patients with speech, language, and swallowing-related goals as outlined in the plan of care
- Monitor and document patient progress and communicate updates to the supervising SLP
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Collaborate with patients, families, and care teams to support continuity of care
