POSITION: Human Resources Coordinator
FLSA STATUS: NON-EXEMPT
JOB SUMMARY: The Human Resource Coordinator is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with HR Director and Senior management in supporting the Edgemere community. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, affirmative action, and employment law compliance. The HR Generalist will also play a key role in strategic planning and organizational development initiatives to support the healthcare facility's mission and goals.

- Benefits Administration: Manage and administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other benefits. Conduct open enrollment meetings and assist employees with benefits-related inquiries.
- Employee Relations: Serve as a point of contact for employee relations issues, providing guidance and support to managers and employees. Conduct investigations and resolve conflicts in a fair and consistent manner.
- Training and Development: Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge. Coordinate and facilitate training sessions, workshops, and seminars.
- Performance Management: Oversee the performance appraisal process, ensuring timely and constructive feedback. Assist managers in setting performance goals and developing improvement plans.
- Onboarding: Manage the onboarding process for new hires, including orientation, paperwork, and training. Ensure a smooth transition for new employees into the organization.
- Policy Implementation: Develop, update, and enforce HR policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Recruitment/Employment: Conduct full-cycle recruitment for all exempt and nonexempt positions, including job postings, screening, interviewing, and selection. Partner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develop recruitment strategies.
- Affirmative Action and Compliance: Ensure compliance with affirmative action plans and equal employment opportunity regulations. Prepare and submit required reports and documentation.
- HRIS Management: Maintain and update the human resource information system (HRIS). Generate reports and analyze data to support HR decision-making.
- Strategic Planning: Participate in strategic planning initiatives, providing HR insights and recommendations to support organizational goals. Assist in workforce planning and talent management strategies.

Required:
Must pass background check and drug screening.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
At least three years in human resource management experience preferred.
SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification preferred
Experience in the healthcare industry is a plus

ENVIRONMENTAL AND PHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIREMENTS: The physical activities of this position constantly require effective talking, hearing, sitting, walking, and standing functions. The position also often involves sedentary work where sitting is required most of the time, with occasional standing or walking. The position also is often requires exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or 10 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Must be able to perform activities with close visual acuity, such as reading a computer screen and reading print material. The functions of this position are conducted in a temperature-controlled environment.
INTELLECTUAL/EMOTIONAL REQUIREMENTS: The occupant of this position must be able to perform the responsibilities of the position well under pressure. The position requires adaptability to performing a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another without loss of efficiency or composure. The normal work routine involves no exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues, although situations can be imagined or hypothesized under which anyone, anywhere, might encounter potential exposure to body fluids.
