- We are currently hiring Asst. Site Coordinators at Andrew & Walter Young and Dean Rusk Early Learning Centers in Atlanta
Reports To: Area Director
Schedule: Part-Time (Before & After School, School Breaks, and Summer Programs)
All sites have a schedule of Monday-Friday: 2:15PM-6:00PM
Pay:
Site Coordinator: $21-27/hour
Asst. Site Coordinator: $19-22/hour
Position Overview
The Head Coach serves as the leader of an after-school program site, creating a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for children. This hands-on leadership role combines youth development, staff supervision, program operations, and relationship building with families and school partners.
The ideal candidate is energetic, organized, and passionate about helping children build confidence, resilience, and life skills.
Key Responsibilities
Program Leadership
- Lead daily program operations and ensure a positive experience for students.
- Facilitate engaging enrichment, academic support, recreation, and character-building activities.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming program environment.
- Manage student attendance, transitions, and dismissal procedures.
Team Development
- Supervise and support site staff.
- Provide coaching, training, and ongoing feedback to team members.
- Lead staff meetings and promote a positive team culture.
Family & School Partnerships
- Build strong relationships with students, families, and school personnel.
- Communicate program updates, successes, and student needs.
- Represent the organization professionally within the school community.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with state licensing regulations and company policies.
- Maintain accurate program records and documentation.
- Respond appropriately to incidents, emergencies, and behavioral concerns.
Qualifications
- 18 years old or older
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of leadership experience in education, childcare, youth development, recreation, or a related field.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lead staff while actively engaging with children.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Child Development, Human Services, or a related field preferred.
- Willing to undergo and pass a background check and drug test
Physical Requirements
- Ability to actively participate in indoor and outdoor activities.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout program hours.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds occasionally.
