Job Summary:
The Operator, Hybrid Digital is responsible for all aspects of operating large format digital printing equipment to Imagine production and quality standards, within budget and on time. Daily activity will include material handling and finishing as assigned.
Presses that are included under “Hybrid Digital”: Nozomi
SHIFT: 6:00am - 6:00pm, rotating every 5 weeks between Mon - Wed and Thurs - Sat
Job Description:
- Operate and maintain Hybrid Digital Presses based on Standard Operating Procedures
- Operate Lift Truck/PIV safely and efficiently
- Understand and follows work order
- Produce product to spec, within budget, and in expected timeframe.
- Operate equipment in accordance with manufacturer and Imagine standards on various substrates, within quality expectations.
- Relay important Information onto the next available Shift.
- Properly execute pressroom Safety Procedures
- Learn and comply with company and Pressroom Standard Operating Procedures
- Operate equipment in accordance with manufacturer and Imagine standards on various substrates, within quality expectations, in a safe manner.
- Account for all labor and material consumed on job-by-job basis
- Perform routine functions to insure optimal printing conditions. (i.e., Change empty ink, bi hourly maintenance bath procedures and print head cleanliness) Monitor output quality through course of a run.
- Maintain a clean work area.
- Communicate with customers and clients in a professional and polite manner.
- Act as a resource to Apprentice and Feeder
- Troubleshoot with the help of the Lead Operator
- Other job duties as assigned.
- Works Overtime when needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS OF POSITION
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years’ work experience on the same or functionally similar press.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Proficiency in computer applications, including Mac and Windows Operating Systems
- Must possess high mechanical aptitude
- Good written and oral interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to follow documented procedures
- Ability to read and understand oral/written instructions proficiently.
- Ability to read and understand tape measure and other measuring equipment
- Math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, Division, and Fractions
- Thorough knowledge of press operations and functions and problem-solving on press.
- Reliability through attendance, punctuality and attention to workstation.
- Demonstrate positive safety attitude.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to visually inspect all work for defects and distinguish colors.
- Frequent reaching, bending, climbing, kneeling, crouching, and stooping.
- Manual dexterity for repetitive work.
