Senior Director, Investor Relations & Strategy
Job Type
Full-time
Description

SHINE Technologies is seeking a Senior Director of Investor Relations & Strategy to lead SHINE’s investor relations function and serves as a primary external face of the company to investors and analysts as SHINE prepares for, and operates as, a publicly traded company. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer and partnering closely with the Chief Strategy Officer and CEO, this role builds SHINE’s IR program to help us scale our capital markets capabilities to support our long-term plans.

Beyond investor relations, the Senior Director contributes the financial and strategic analysis that informs SHINE’s long-range planning, capital strategy, and strategic transactions. The role translates SHINE’s multi-segment business into a coherent, credible narrative for both external audiences and internal decision-making.

The base salary range for this position is $180,000 - $210,000 per year plus a comprehensive compensation package. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Senior Director of Investor Relations & Strategy:

Investor Relations

  • Build and lead SHINE’s investor relations program to help us scale our capital markets capabilities to support our long-term plans, including investor targeting, earnings communications, and ongoing investor engagement.
  • Develop and own investor-facing materials — the equity story, investor presentations, earnings scripts, press releases, annual report, and proxy content — in coordination with Legal, Finance, and Communications.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for institutional investors, sell-side analysts, and equity research coverage.
  • Manage a disciplined IR calendar spanning earnings, investor days, conferences, and one-on-one engagement, and partner with investment banking relationships on capital markets activity and investor events.
  • Monitor investor sentiment, ownership changes, and peer and sector dynamics, providing regular updates to the CFO, CEO, and Board of Directors.
  • Ensure compliance with Regulation FD, quiet-period protocols, and public-company disclosure standards.

Strategy and Development

  • Partner with the Chief Strategy Officer and CFO on the long-range planning process, contributing financial analysis, scenario modeling, and an investor perspective.
  • Build and maintain integrated financial models that support capital allocation, scenario planning, and Board-level strategy discussions.
  • Translate SHINE’s strategy into a coherent external narrative aligned with the equity story, and track competitive intelligence, sector trends, and public-company benchmarks to inform positioning.
  • Support ad hoc strategy projects including the evaluation and execution of strategic transactions — partnerships, licensing, government contracts, and mergers and acquisitions — including financial diligence, valuation, and deal structuring with Legal and external advisors.
  • Develop business cases for new market opportunities and capital deployment decisions.
  • Support the CFO and Chief Strategy Officer in preparing Board and committee materials on strategic and financial topics.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related discipline; MBA or CFA strongly preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in investor relations, investment banking, equity research, corporate development, or a combination thereof, with demonstrated ability to influence at the executive level.
  • Experience at, or supporting, a publicly traded company, including familiarity with earnings cycles, Regulation FD, and investor engagement protocols; experience supporting a company through an IPO or major capital markets transaction strongly preferred.
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex business dynamics into clear, jargon-free investor narratives.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to engage credibly with institutional investors, analysts, bankers, and Board members.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple workstreams simultaneously in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • High integrity and sound judgment regarding confidentiality, materiality, and disclosure.
  • Experience in a multi-segment or technology company with a complex equity story (e.g., defense, healthcare, energy, or deep tech), exposure to government-facing businesses or DOE programs, and familiarity with Workiva or similar SEC reporting platforms preferred.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort:

  • Ability to use a computer, telephone and standard office equipment.
  • Ability to comply with safety and security requirements, including access-controlled areas.
  • Exposure to standard office noise and lighting conditions.
  • Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
  • Moderate physical activity. Requires handling of average weight objects up to 40 pounds or standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day.

Eligibility for employment is conditioned on the applicant’s ability to qualify for access to information subject to U.S. Export Controls.
