Ludwig and Company, an Illinois property management firm with properties throughout the Midwest, is seeking a dependable and hardworking Grounds Person/Landscaper to join our team at a Section 8 apartment community in South Bend, Indiana. Responsibilities

• Maintain the overall appearance of the property grounds and landscaping.
• Mow, trim, edge, and water lawns and landscaped areas.
• Plant, prune, weed, mulch, and maintain flowers, shrubs, and trees.
• Remove trash and debris from the property daily.
• Sweep sidewalks, parking lots, and common areas.
• Assist with snow removal and ice control during winter months.
• Ensure the property remains clean, attractive, and free of safety hazards.
• Report maintenance concerns or property damage to management.
• Assist the maintenance team with light exterior maintenance projects as needed.

 Requirements

• Previous landscaping or grounds maintenance experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate.
• Ability to safely operate landscaping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and hedge trimmers.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Reliable transportation and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical labor throughout the day.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
